Effect of water evaporation retardant on the mass transfer of CO2 across an air/water interface was studied. The mass transfer coefficient K under different conditions such as temperature, spreading solvents and homogeneous systems were discussed separately. The results showed that the presence of water evaporation retardant had little effect on the mass transfer of CO2.
In order to investigate the retardation of water evaporation by single and mixed monolayers at air/water surface, surface pressure (pi)-time (t) isotherms, specific evaporation resistance (r)-temperature (T) curves had been used to describe the properties of monolayers made from single monolayers of 1-hexadecanol (C16OH) and mixed monolayers of C16OH and nonionic surfactants. The results showed that...
In order to investigate abilities of anti-environmental interference of water evaporation retardants, a new kind of water evaporation retardants composed of 1-hexadecanol and nonionic surfactants was prepared in this paper, and effects of environmental factors on retardation of water evaporation of mixed monolayers were studied. The results showed that in comparison with monolayers of single component,...
