Novel multiband and broadband wireless power transfer (WPT) systems based on conformal strongly coupled magnetic resonance (CSCMR) are presented in this paper. An analytical model for CSCMR systems is developed in order to study their performance. Optimal multiband and broadband CSCMR systems are designed and their performance is validated using simulations and measurements. A broadband CSCMR system,...
A new equivalent circuit model Conformal Strongly Coupled Magnetic Resonant (CSCMR) wireless powering transfer (WPT) systems using multiple resonators is derived. Mutual coupling between all resonators is considered and the mutual inductance for CSCMR systems is derived. Our analytical model is verified for the case of two pairs of resonators by comparison with measurements and simulation results.
This paper presents the application of carrier phase-shifted PWM technology in the position detection for permanent magnet synchronous motor at standstill position. At the same time, it gives the polarity identification in the rotary frame with detected position from the neutral voltage. The new technique describes the method of carrier phase-shifted PWM technology with neutral voltage. It can detect...
Wireless power transfer via novel Strongly Coupled Electric Resonance (SCER) method is presented and studied in this paper. Instead of using loops as the magnetic resonators in Strongly Coupled Magnetic Resonance (SCMR), small dipoles are introduced to be considered as electric resonators between source and load. High wireless powering efficiency (more than 95%) and compact size (50% smaller than...
A novel approach for monitoring oil-water interface level and oil level in a single tank is presented. A liquid level sensor has been developed that is suitable to determine the oil-water interface level and oil level. This sensor can realize two sensing functions, namely, inductive and capacitive sensing functions. For achieving this multi-sensing function, the designed sensor employed two coils...
