During the production of corrugated board, many dynamic physical and mechanical processes take place, such as the formation of a corrugated layer, gluing of liners with fluting using high temperature and pressure. The dynamic of these processes directly affects the quality of the product, as well as the number and type of possible defects. The usable and strength properties of corrugated board also depend on the type and grammage of papers used for individual layers and on the amount and composition/concentration of the adhesive mixture. The moisture content of the input material, as well as the temperature in the heating and drying process, also play a key role. There is no doubt that corrugated board after converting is not identical to cardboard immediately after production, and the sum of the characteristics of the constituent papers used for its production is not enough to describe it correctly. This article attempts to answer the question of how to correctly use information about the input material used for the production of corrugated board, as well as how to integrate production parameters and other measurement data collected during storage, transport / processing with artificial intelligence in order to optimize the production process and the product itself.
