Background
Integrative medicine has gained increasing attention from patients, healthcare professionals, and the scientific community. Evidence-based literature is constantly increasing. Therefore, obstetric and gynecologic patients expect proficient integrative medicine counseling and treatment.
Objective
This study investigated which practice-orientated, evidence-based webpages on integrative medicine are serious, well structured, and oriented toward patients’ needs, and thus recommendable as a source of quick information the daily routine of a clinic or practice.
Materials and methods
Web-based research was conducted to identify reliable webpages on integrative medicine. The presented information on integrative treatment approaches was reviewed in terms of evidence and commented on in terms of practical relevance.
Results
Reliable web-based sources of information which competently address various topics of integrative medicine in a practice-oriented manner are presented. In particular, the following topics of integrative medicine are addressed by these webpages: evidence from original research and reviews, factsheets, guidelines, e‑learning programs, as well as leading organizations and institutes of integrative medicine. Finally, current news on integrative medicine is provided for immediate application in everyday practice.
Conclusion
Evidence-based and practically relevant news and facts on integrative medicine are well structured and provided by sufficient reliable web-based sources for a rapid information search during everyday practice.
