In this paper, 9 to 12 years old children and their parents were studied about they selective purchasing children's toys through interviews and questionnaires were launched. There are some significant differences between these two groups in the behaviour, cognize and psychology, that were analysed and researched to get some information for designers who are designing on the old children's toys.
The detection aims at testing the quality of design and construction and values the working property of the designed load. The static load test is focused on testing and analyzing main girder camber, vertical deflection at the bracket, cable tension, the main causes of cracks in beams. Under the test load, the natural frequency of external tendons increase in amplitude 4.3% to 9.0%, and the change...
This paper presents a structural health monitoring system for monitoring, with reduced visual impact, one historical building structure. The system is based on fiber Bragg gratings and comprises 19 displacement sensors and 5 temperature sensors. All the sensors were custom made according to the monitoring points' characteristics. The results obtained over the first year of monitoring are presented...
We present the use of swept wavelength interferometry for distributed fiber-optic temperature measurements in a nuclear reactor. The sensors consisted of 2-m segments of commercially available, single mode optical fibers. The interrogation technique is based on measuring the spectral shift of the intrinsic Rayleigh backscatter signal along the optical fiber and converting the spectral shift to temperature.
