Structure optimization and the application of light material and process were the two main ways of integral body lightweight. So the ultra high strength steel was applied to the anterior anti-collision beam of integral body was the aim of the study. In this study, the performance development of frontal impact was taken for the example, the material selected of the lightweight was analyzed, and the...
Safety for the occupants of medium-heavy truck is a prime consideration for cab structure design. Among front, rear impact and rollover accident, it is rollover that results in severe Casualty for occupants. Especially during the whole process of 180° rollover accidents, including two steps, the first step is 90° rollover, the second step is 90° rollover up to 180°. A new more legal and strict rollover...
Basing on the fatigue breaking of the differential case of the drive axle with the material of nodular graphite cast iron, the fatigue analysis is made. According to the criterion of `Q/T 543-1999 Drive Axle Bench Test Standard', with the fatigue software FEMFAT 4.7D, the research on the cumulative damage and endurance limit safety factors in differential case is studied in terms of the Miner modified...
Generally, hydroelectric projects have long construction period, and its investment scale is very big. Simultaneously, its construction technology is difficult. Under these conditions, how to balance construction cost, schedule, and quality is always a problem concerned by constructors. In construction management, the optimum goal is minimum cost with the guarantee for schedule and quality. This paper...
Phenomenons such as ??swell?? exist in storing and transporting of packagings of air conditioners, which affect the safety of the packaging stacks and the product image. According to this, researches were taken out on aspects affecting the resistance capacity of boxes such as environment, material of boxes, and box structure design. By combining method of both design and experiments, we tested the...
Any product design goes through many phases. One of the main considerations is the specific mix of design parameters that affect the acceptance of the product in the market. The acceptance of the product, in turn, depends on some of the key factors such as reliability, safety, quality, performance, cost, ease of maintenance, ease of assembly and so on. The designer's perspective, therefore, is wide...
This paper proposes different approaches for the ecodesign of safety transformer based on optimization methods. The first approach consists in a life cycle analysis to highlight the stage of the product life that has the most considerable impact. An effective way to reduce the environmental impacts is to maximize the transformer efficiency. The second approach is to build a surrogate model of environmental...
The construction industry has been facing a paradigm shift to (i) increase; productivity, efficiency, infrastructure value, quality and sustainability, (ii) reduce; lifecycle costs, lead times and duplications, via effective collaboration and communication of stakeholders in construction projects. Digital construction is a political initiative to address low productivity in the sector. This seeks...
We present the use of swept wavelength interferometry for distributed fiber-optic temperature measurements in a nuclear reactor. The sensors consisted of 2-m segments of commercially available, single mode optical fibers. The interrogation technique is based on measuring the spectral shift of the intrinsic Rayleigh backscatter signal along the optical fiber and converting the spectral shift to temperature.
