Polymer nanocomposites have attracted wide interest as a method of enhancing polymer properties and extending their applications. Surface potential decay has been used widely as a tool to monitor charge transport and trapping characteristics of insulating materials. Polyimide (PI) as an engineering material has been paid more attention due to high thermal and chemical stability, good mechanical property...
TiO2 films with nano-particles dispersed by using three different additives such as acetylacetone, Emulsifier OP-10 and polyethylene glycol (PEG) respectively. It is found that the TiO2 films produced at appropriate amount of Emulsifier OP-10 are no re-aggregation of TiO2 nano-particles with pores of about 5-15 nm. By adding PEG, the pores of the TiO2 films could be at about 50 nm to 200 nm. But,...
The interfacial electron transfer and subsequent charge-recombination between single carbo-rhodamine Atto647N molecules and TiO2 nanoparticle and between single cucurbit[7]uril encapsulated Atto647N molecules and TiO2 nanoparticle are studied. Power-law distributions for the lifetimes of the dark charge-separated states are obtained. This is attributed to the broad time range taken for the injected...
In this work, we present a systematic investigation of the influence of mixed-phase TiO2 with various a-TiO2 to r-TiO2 ratio (A/R) toward the DSSCs efficiency. It was found that though a-TiO2 showed better performance than r-TiO2 in DSSCs, the Ru-bipyridine dye (N719) sensitized TiO2 films fabricated by mixed-phase TiO2 with A/R = 9 gives the highest cell efficiency.
In the present study, non-stoichiometric tungsten oxide (WO3-x) nanomaterials synthesized by a modified plasma arc gas condensation technique were added into anatase titanium oxide (a-TiO2) which was used as photoanode materials in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC). The WO3-x/a-TiO2 sample was characterized by FESEM, XRD, HRTEM, XPS and UV-visible spectra techniques. The photovoltaic efficiency of...
The process of producing finely dispersed Ba1-xSrxTiO3, BaTiO3 and (Bi1-xLax)4Ti3O12 powders with ultra-and nanosized particles by chemical reactions in multi-component salt melts is developed. Also the opportunities of sol-gel method for the film structures formation are used by means of ferroelectric powders inclusion in an oxide silicate matrix. The optimal syntheses condition of film glass-ceramical...
In this paper fabrication of a 0-3 ceramic/ceramic composite lead zirconate titanate, Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 thin film has been presented and then a pressure sensor based on multilayer thin-film PZT diaphragm contain of lead zirconate titanate nanocrystalline powders was designed, modeled and optimized. This multilayer diaphragm in general acts as sensor or actuator. ANSYS was used for simulation of diaphragm...
This paper reports the performance of fluorescence gas sensor to detect the presence of volatile organic compounds. Two thin films were prepared; TiO2 coated with iron (III) meso-tetraphenylporphine chloride (TiO2 coated IMTPPCl) and TiO2 coated with manganase (III) 5,10,15,20 tetra (4-pyridyl)-21 H, 23 H porphine chloride tetrakis (TiO2 coated MnTPCl). All the thin films were deposited on quartz...
