The results of experimental synthesis of carbide Fe₇C₃ at 5.5 GPa are presented. It is found that carbide Fe₃C and several polytypes of carbide Fe₇C₃ are formed along with diamond during cooling of the system. Single crystal X-ray diffraction was applied for re-determination of the crystal structure of α-trans-[Pd(NH₃)₂Cl₂]. It has been demonstrated that, in contrast to the literature data, the structure is disordered. This model does not require excess over-stoichiometric palladium.
