The aim of the paper was to assess the competitiveness of Polish agricultural and food products in trade with the EU countries in the period following Poland's accession to the European Union, with the help of deliberately selected ex post indicators of competitiveness. The most important determinants of competitiveness of the analysed product groups were discussed. Additionally, a typology of some agri-food product groups according to the level of competitive advantages on the EU market was presented.
