Manglietia jinggangshanensis R.L. Liu et Z.X. Zhang, a new species of Magnoliaceae collected from Jiangxi Province in Central China, is described and illustrated. It can be distinguished from the other closely related species by its pruinose abaxial surface and revolute leaf margins, longer stipular scars (about 2/5~ 4/5 long of the petiole), partly reddish perianth, and lineate seed coat.
