The paper presents approaches to electro-dynamic characteristics estimation for artificial composite media, among which a periodic random media are especially distinguished. Resonant circuit implementation based on thin-film ferromagnetic nanostructures is possible in a periodic composite media. Chiral media, photonic, magnonic crystals and layered structures are of particular interest. Approaches...
The authors of this article proposed a new universal algorithm of building modified sum codes, that generalizes known methods of code formation, as well as allows to build new sum codes, implementation of which might be useful for technical diagnostics problems solving. The algorithm is based on segregation of bits into a data vector and its division onto two subsets (possibly intersecting), on the...
Analysis of the effectiveness of metamaterials as a substrate of microstrip antennas for the purpose of providing broadband antenna while reducing the size and increasing the antenna gain are carried out in the report. As an example of the calculation of a microstrip antenna characteristics are given in which the substrate is a metamaterial unit cell in the form of nested open rings (SRR — split ring...
Due to the complexity and large dimensions of the task of digital system design debugging decomposition by method of modeling as a whole, algebraic models of decomposition methods are proposed, namely, methods of vertical and horizontal structure decomposition, functional decomposition, decomposition based on error types. An algebraic model of the digital systems software is presented. The software...
The article describes a unique public informational Internet resource — the portal of next generation networks multi-service platforms of domestic and foreign manufacturers, used in Russia. The above objectives and opportunities of the portal, shows the architecture of a software system and the structure of the database of the portal. The portal is applicable for a broad range of telecommunication...
Statistical characteristics of the density distribution of the instantaneous frequency of deep fading signals were defined. The threshold method for measuring of motion speed of the extended object within range radio measuring instrument movement device reviewed and analyzed. It is shown that applying of the Doppler signal in the amplitude selection channel can significantly reduce the phase noise,...
This paper presents a digital frequency translation by the CORDIC rotator (COordinate Rotation DIgital Computer) which does not require a complex multiplier and a phase-to-exponent converter. The CORDIC algorithm overview and detailed implementation architecture are presented. The architecture is fitted to implementation in high speed designs and using in Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC)...
Estimation of potential accuracy of the measurement of informative signal parameters on background of non-Gaussian additive noise was obtained. Engineering estimations of the informative signal parameters on the background of additive non-Gaussian noise, with correlated nature were found.
This paper deals with a precise time, particularly comparison of diverse precise time transfer methods and sources. We deal with two ways of the precise time acquisition — the dedicated time and frequency transfer infrastructure and the time network protocols. For the needs of distinct time and frequency methods evaluation, we designed a FPGA based System on Chip (SoC) that may acquire time and frequency...
Traditional scan based transition delay fault tests can potentially miss variability induced delay faults on long interconnects. On the other hand, an ATPG may not be successful in deriving test patterns for all paths. The paper proposes a BDD based synthesis method where all the paths are testable under the path delay fault model without addition of extra inputs. Each ROBDD (Reduced-Ordered-Binary...
The paper deals with one of the most important optimization problem — the cutting stock and packaging (C&P) problem. This problem contains two sub problem, such as two-dimensional packaging problem and minimization of the tool head way, which belong to the class of NP-hard and complex problems. The formulation and restrictions of the C&P problem are considered in the paper. Authors offer a...
The article provides a method of building the sum code, that detects any errors of double multiplicity in data vectors. This characteristic can be effectively used for organizing the concurrent error detection (CED) systems of combinational logic circuits. The paper explains new sum code characteristics, and also states the properties of this code for error detection in data vectors. Also there is...
This paper presents the study of the Hierarchical Distance-Vector Geo-Routing (HDVG) protocol for Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETs) using NS-3 simulator. The criteria for selection of simulation environment are described. The distributed computing technique for NS-3 simulator is proposed. Simulation results show that HDVG, in general case, outperforms well-known routing protocols OLSR, AODV and GPRS.
This paper presents the new algorithm for no-reference image quality assessment (NRQ LBP). This algorithm does not need a priori information about possible types of image distortions before assessment. No transformation to another coordinate frame (DCT, wavelet, etc.) is required, distinguishing it from prior no reference quality assessment approaches. NRQ LBP is based on machine learning and uses...
The paper discusses the investigation of a new method of chirp signal generation with a high chirp rate based on the binary optical structures. Originally binary optical structures have been used as the elements of radio memory devices to produce copies of the wideband radio signals. They can also be applied for chirp generation in a specially structured fiber optic array form. The scheme of device...
This paper continues the author's research in the field of sampling theorem for a finite duration signal in a limited frequency band. Verification of the general method of signal conversion for a few individual samples number cases is carried out with maximum completeness, and further direction of the theory development is established.
A Sequential circuit design is based on using mixed description of a behavior of a combinational part. The behavior is represented with a composition of ROBDDs and monotonous products. The design method provides fully delay testability of a combinational part of a sequential circuit. In this paper it is shown that the method also provides multiple stuck-at faults testability of a combinational part...
The rapid development in the modern technology and its widespread utilization in number of applications brings in new challenges that need to be addressed. Security is one of such challenges that has grown into a major concern over the years. Periodically new incidents of data and system breaches are reported. For this purpose, usually different side channels in the system are being exploited by the...
Power dissipation is a major issue with testing of designs having full scan architectures. The proposed scan technique minimizes toggle activity while scanning in test patterns. The method uses bit inversion technique to avoid toggles in scan flip-flops. The setup is dynamically configurable to one among the logic reversal structure and traditional scan while shift-in/shift-out of test patterns. Experimental...
