This paper presents some initial observations on the application of fractal shaped slots in a substrate integrated waveguide based leaky wave antenna. Significant to the design issues are obtaining a nearly 1 GHz impedance bandwidth with a second iteration fractal shaped slot ranging from 9.25 GHz to 10.25 GHz. Pattern stability is observed with near identical radiation pattern within the frequency...
Recently, energy harvesting generators pay lots of attention in current research field due to its usefulness in low-power device applications, e.g. recharge a cell-phone in remote place. Ambient motion is one of the main sources of energy harvesting. A convenient way to generate an electrical energy from mechanical vibration using hand-fan is reported here. Different mode of assembly for PZT disks...
Different carbon nanostructures have attracted the fascination of the researchers due to their possible application in optoelectronic and bioimaging applications. In this work, the synthesis of water soluble carbon quantum dots (CQD) is reported. The quantum dots are produced by a simple hydrothermal technique followed by centrifugation process. The structures of the prepared carbon dots were studied...
Compact multiband cross slot rectangular microstrip patch antenna is introduced in this paper. Here one close ended rectangular slot in ground plane and one cross slot in patch are given to excite different resonant frequencies. The correct probe feed location along with the exact slot position gave the promising result. The proposed antenna meets the requirement of impedance bandwidth, return loss...
ZnO nanorods have been grown on indium tin oxide (ITO) coated flexible polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrates by a hydrothermal method. Hybrid photosensing devices have been fabricated with S and N co-doped graphene quantum dot (SN-GQD) sensitized ZnO nanorods and a conducting polymer poly (3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT). The photoresponse behaviors have been investigated for hybrid devices with and...
Photoelectrochemical properties of ZnO nanorods have been widely investigated due to low cost, easy synthesis process and high carrier mobility. However, weak photoabsorption in visible region is the major bottleneck of ZnO for solar cell applications. To improve the photoelectrochemical behavior, it is necessary to sensitize ZnO nanorods with semiconductor quantum dots or nanoparticles. To enhance...
In this paper, 2D computer simulations based on Silvaco TCAD (Atlas) have been employed to showcase the effect of different dielectric materials on the I-V characteristics of a novel nanoelectronic diode fabricated out of 2DEG materials such as GaN and InGaAs. Being a potential terahertz detector, it is further demonstrated that how these materials affect the parasitic and conductive properties of...
Graphene has excellent properties that are useful in many electronic device applications. In this report, a mechanical exfoliation method has been used to fabricate a field-effect device based on a thin film of few-layer graphene (FLG). The occurrence of p-doping and hysteresis in the current-voltage behavior was observed and characterized. The possible reasons for this observation were explained...
A single quantum well Light Emitting Diode (LED) is designed from two different semiconductors and the main advantages of quantum well structure are high radiative efficiency, surface recombination etc. We have designed the device in order to observe the impact of mole fraction on power spectral density at different wave length by keeping the anode voltage fixed. A nearly lattice matched AlGaN-InGaN-GaN...
Recently, Scientists needs to know the behavior of human sperm for proper diagnosis in Gymnocology problem. In this paper, we introduced an algorithm for tracking and detecting multi-moving human sperm using wavelet threshold in a improved version. Initially the captured images are filtered by a wavelet denoising approach. Then a combination method of mixture of Gaussian method as background subtraction...
An enhancement mode GaN MOSFET with AlGaN/GaN heterostructure for excessive frequency and excessive power applications is designed. The huge 2 dimensional electron gas density obtained at the AlGaN/GaN heterostructure helps to carry more output current, which needs for high output power generation. Normally off behaviour of the device is obtained by the replacement of AlGaN barrier layer with gate...
In this paper a novel structure is proposed to reduce the mutual coupling between two coplanar microstrip antennas which resonates at the same frequency band. A simple string of H-shaped DGS is placed in between two antennas to reduce the mutual coupling. Simulated result shows that the reduction of mutual coupling up to 50dB is achieved without affecting the radiation behavior of the antennas.
In this paper single operational transresistance amplifier based lossless grounded negative inductance simulator topology is presented. The proposed circuit employs only single OTRA and four passive elements. The circuit is studied for nonideality and high frequency self compensation is achieved. Theoretical propositions are verified by simulation.
This paper presents hemispherical double layered frequency selective surface which acts like band pass filter in the range of 8 GHz to 10 GHz frequency. Tripole type element is used to achieve flat response with sharp roll off. Double layer hemispherical frequency selective surface is investigated to obtain more sharpness in roll off. The characteristics for double layer hemispherical FSS have been...
The paper proposes the structure and analysis of SiNx passivated AlGaN/AlN/GaN High Electron Mobility Transistor (HEMT), which exhibits minimal OFF state leakage current and has very low characteristic threshold voltage. Analysis of SiNx passivated AlGaN/AlN/GaN HEMT, with gate to drain separation of 10 μm, was done using Silvaco ATLAS™ CAD tools. The proposed device exhibits a peak drain current...
The worldwide electrical energy consumption is progressively escalating and the installed conventional high power station cannot accomplish the demand. Now a days nonconventional energy sources are taking a vital role for the power generation. In this paper modeling of solar PV panel for high frequency application is introduced with the help of boost chopper and high frequency hybrid resonant inverter...
One of the most anonymity centric network, TOR has become a research interest for several applications. As anonymity is very hot topic these days, developing remote administration with untraceable administrator will create huge impact and opportunities for security analysis. The rise of embedded systems, creation of secure server communications and connecting them through TOR will be the dawn of new...
Security of the outsourced data has become the core problem of cloud computing. Many security models have been proposed, among which, CP-ABE has gained popularity in this research area. The Ciphertext-Policy Attribute Based Encryption (CP-ABE) is considered as a propitious tool for fine grained data access in the cloud storage system. The existing CP-ABE scheme with only one authority does not solve...
