The 2017 18th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC) is the second conference of this series that is organized in Romania. The ICCC conferences are organized in cooperation with partner faculties and institutions from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, and Romania, since 2000. For more details on the previous conferences, please visit the website www.icc-conf.cz.
Paper describes measurements of chosen points and surfaces of car axle during simulated test of cornering. The results from measurement were compared to results from mathematical model from multibody analysis. The measurements were done by contactless optical 3D scanning method and photogrammetric system.
The paper describes measurement and calibration of the MEMs (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) intelligent accelerometer with SPI/I2C/CAN bus communication. For the calibration, we use vibration generator and reference precise piezoelectric accelerometers.
The paper is focused on the control algorithm for anti-slip control of the independent car axle. The axles were powered by independent electric engine with torque controller controlled by CAN bus and torque demand. The main control unit is cRIO / LabVIEW with CAN bus.
This work presents the automatic control of airplane in longitudinal and lateral-directional planes, during landing, by using the H-inf control and the airplane's linearized dynamics; the H-inf control technique assures robust stability with respect to different disturbances and noise type signals. Both the longitudinal plane and the lateral-directional one are treated; three automatic landing subsystems...
This paper discusses the automatic control of airplane in longitudinal and lateral-directional planes, during landing, using two neural network and dynamic inversion concept based adaptive control subsystems, having as components: linear observers, linear dynamic compensators, reference models, and Pseudo Control Hedging blocks in order to eliminate the adapting difficulties of the neural network...
Implementation of precision apiculture methods into practice is highly depended on availability and cost-effectiveness of honey bee monitoring equipment. Expenses of monitoring system installation and maintenance activities also should be minimized. In order to successfully predict different bee colony states like: swarming, determine nectar collection activity and health of honey bees both in active...
The article presents evaluation of indirect torque measurement accuracy of converter-fed induction motors. The low-power (5.5 kW) motor supplied by Siemens SINAMICS S120 frequency converters was used to perform the measurement. The converter was set up to vector control method, also the effects of speed sensor presence or absence were compared. The dynamometer test bench with gauge strain measurement...
Oriented graphs belong to a part of Mathematics - Combinatorics called Graph Theory. One of the fundamental terms here is a tree. The tree structures have widespread use not only in Mathematics. They can be used in Decision Theory as data mining tools as well. In the present paper we point out to the use of decision trees as models for financial services, namely, by credit scoring, fraud and churn...
Global warming is one of the most important issues of the last few decades. Among other gases with greenhouse effect, carbon dioxide has one of the largest contributions to global warming. To estimate its footprint upon the environment, usually it is measured in fixed stations, located near the industrial processes which are the source for this gas. The amount of carbon dioxide produced by natural...
This paper presents an Integrated Urban Wastewater System based on the interconnection of two benchmark models used in the case of sewer networks and wastewater treatment plants. Some control strategies are applied for the sewer network and the wastewater treatment plant and analyzed considering the resulted integrated system. The final aim is to improve the knowledge regarding the interaction between...
Industrial energy consumption represents a large part of the energy flow in world. Industry furnaces belong to group with high energy consumption. Mathematical modelling and simulation cases appear as suitable tools, methods for decreasing energy consumption in this field. A simulation model has been used to determine the best geometry and working parameters of kiln by aim to reduce specific energy...
The paper addresses the developing method of an adaptive control structure for an anaerobic digestion process under the realistic assumption that some state variables are unmeasurable, the reaction kinetics are incompletely known and time-varying and moreover the influent pollutant concentration is completely unknown. More exactly, the process that is taken into account is a wastewater biological...
