The paper is devoted to modular digital filters including their use in hydroacoustic monitoring tasks. We describe software-defined technology. We provide the description of hydroacoustic monitoring tasks where modular filter application proves to be efficient and improves filter performance. The efficiency of digital filter application can be improved by taking account of the features of their impulse...
The paper discusses an adaptive algorithm for processing hydroacoustic signals of antenna arrays in real time. We perform mathematical analysis of the adaptation algorithm. The algorithm is based on an iterative procedure for finding weight coefficients. We provide recommendations for algorithm application under different conditions.
We suggest several techniques for demodulation of frequency-modulated signals. The techniques are compared using the criterion of error rate of a demodulated signal relative to the signal before modulation. The experimental research is conducted for different signal-to-noise ratios.
The paper presents a multichannel weighted overlap-add (WOLA) algorithm applied to sub-band signal processing in hydroacoustic monitoring tasks. WOLA is illustrated as a multichannel filter bank implementation in terms of block-by-block signal analysis using vector discrete Fourier transform. Software implementation in MATLAB is discussed and the computation times are provided.
