We studied the propagation speed of fiber fuse using heterodyne detection method by analyzing the Doppler shift based on short-time Fourier transform. We observed periodic velocity changes about 160 μs with a constant launched power.
We demonstrate a rapid-scan-rate dual-comb interferometer employing an electro-optic comb generated from Fabry-Perot modulator and a free-running femtosecond laser. High dynamic range has been achieved without the necessity of complicated phase-locking and laser stabilization.
Herein we fabricate highly reproducible-organometallic-halide-perovskite based devices, various device shapes that are hard to directly synthesize, unique properties and an improved photodetector have been successfully achieved. The advances will shed light on the practical applications.
This paper proposes a four-phase mutually coupled switched reluctance machine (MCSRM) arrangement with single pulse current control strategy, targeting performance improvements of both the machine and the power converter. Previously published works on MCSRM have focused only on machine performance while neglecting the power converters. Designs and comparative studies have been carried out among conventional...
In single-phase photovoltaic (PV) systems, power mismatching between input and output terminal leads to power pulsation, seriously affecting maximum power point tracking (MPPT). Paralleling an electrolytic capacitor (e-cap) across PV panel to smooth power pulsation seems to be an unreliable method owing to its short lifetime. Various power decoupling methods used in micro-inverters have been proposed...
For spaceborne phased arrays, real-time antenna calibration plays a critically important role. It is the premise of high performance digital beamforming. Conventional antenna calibration approaches usually need to interrupt normal communication traffic flows to perform calibration and thus data satellite communications are interrupted. In this paper, an online calibration method without interrupting...
In social marketing practice, it is usually important to anticipate the long-term impact of the target application to maintain a long-lasting marketing effect, whereas a new product or technology should spread as quickly as possible to establish a competitive advantage. To find a balance between them, we tackle this challenge by modelling the problem as an issue of time-discounted influential sustainability...
As a portable smart device, smartphone has been widely used in the field of hearing diagnosis. It can simplify the diagnostic procedure and provide a simple method for hearing diagnosis. However, smartphone is usually used as an audio source and operate conventional test algorithms, which takes a lot of time. We propose a new method for self-hearing diagnosis based on smartphone, which uses hearing...
IEC 61850 is an international standard for digital substation automation systems based on network communication platform. It has been widely used in power generation, transmission, distribution and scheduling. The protocol implemented unified modeling for object, enhanced interoperability and interchangeability between different terminals. In this paper, we apply the protocol is to power and environment...
Detecting similar functions in binary executables serves as a foundation for many binary code analysis and reuse tasks. By far, recognizing similar components in binary code remains a challenge. Existing research employs either static or dynamic approaches to capture program syntax or semantics-level features for comparison. However, there exist multiple design limitations in previous work, which...
In this paper, a comprehensive friction model for collaborative industrial robot joints is proposed which takes into account the velocity, temperature and load torque effects. The model indicates that the velocity and temperature have a strong influence on viscous friction nonlinearly, whereas load torque significantly influences the Coulomb friction linearly and causes a slight Stribeck effect. The...
The Cancer Registry of Norway (CRN) employs a cancer registry system to collect cancer patient data (e.g., diagnosis and treatments) from various medical entities (e.g., clinic hospitals). The collected data are then checked for validity (i.e., validation) and assembled as cancer cases (i.e., aggregation) based on more than 1000 cancer coding rules in the system. However, it is frequent in practice...
Many techniques of software vulnerability exploitation rely on deep and comprehensive analysis of vulnerable program binaries. If a copy of the vulnerable software is available to attackers, they can compose their attack scripts and payloads by studying the sample copy and launch attacks on other copies of the same software in deployment. By transforming software into different forms before deployment,...
Function recognition in program binaries serves as the foundation for many binary instrumentation and analysis tasks. However, as binaries are usually stripped before distribution, function information is indeed absent in most binaries. By far, identifying functions in stripped binaries remains a challenge. Recent research work proposes to recognize functions in binary code through machine learning...
In this paper, we develop a novel 3D object recognition algorithm to perform detection and pose estimation jointly. We focus on analyzing the advantages of the 3D point cloud relative to the RGB-D image and try to eliminate the unpredictability of output values that inevitably occurs in regression tasks. To achieve this, we first adopt the Truncated Signed Distance Function (TSDF) to encode the point...
The mechanism and morphological evolution of a thermal interface material prepared by pressureless sintering of a paste containing bimodal silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were investigated. A high thermal conductivity (232 Wm−1K−1) was obtained from the material sintered at 250 °C for 30 min. These results could be ascribed to decrease of the defect densities and sintered densities of the sintered structures.
Service oriented view is introduced to DoDAF 2.0 in 2009 to solve the problem that lacking of reusability and flexibility caused of close coupling in WSA. However, services in service view are proposed by users subjectively, which would be work-consumed and incapable to guarantee the rationality and consistency of logic. Using a method of complex network field: k-clique community detection algorithm,...
In this paper, we propose an efficient terrain meshing method based on discrete point cloud, which is based on the existing meshing method of 3D reconstruction. Our meshing method uses the DTM (Delaunay Triangle Mesh) as a criterion to establish vertex constraints and evaluation functions. We start from a seed triangle and use the growing method to extend the outer-edge of each triangle until all...
Scene space organizational structure and visibility culling plays a crucial role in the quality and efficiency of subsequent rendering. To improve the real-time rendering of indoor and outdoor objects and enhance the organization efficiency of scenes, we propose an optimized scene management structure for fast visibility culling. We organize the scene into an adaptive binary tree (ABT) structure to...
Scene management technology is one of the key technologies of virtual reality and visualization. In this paper, we propose a new method based on adaptive binary tree (ABT) and scene graph, which is used to improve the real-time rendering of indoor and outdoor objects and enhance the organization efficiency of scenes structure. The generation algorithm of adaptive binary tree, the scoring standard...
